What will I do in individual relationship therapy?

Great question! In general, you will be talking about your relationships, the situations that are causing your difficulty, and your thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
The specific things you work on and do will vary depending on your situation. Together, we will work to understand your patterns in relationships and why those patterns happen the way they do. Then you and your therapist will use evidence-based techniques to help you build new skills, change emotional responses, and create new and more helpful understandings of yourself and the people around you.
The best part is that all of this happens in the context of a genuine relationship - with your therapist.
