Counseling/Therapy 50-55 minutes $200/session

Counseling/Therapy 25-30 minutes $100/session

Extended therapy 90 minutes $300/session

Group therapy 75 minutes $50/session

Insurance

True Counseling and Consulting Services is primarily an out-of-network, private pay practice. For individual therapy that is meant to treat a diagnosed mental health condition, we participate in-network with the following insurances:

Aetna
Tufts
Harvard Pilgrim

If you do not have one of the above insurance plans, you may be able to use out of network benefits to help cover the cost of individual therapy. Most PPO insurance plans allow members to use "out of network" benefits, meaning that services will be covered, but at a different rate than those provided by in-network providers. It is always a good idea to check with your insurance plan to determine exactly what services are covered and what the out of pocket cost to you will be. Dr. Mohr would be happy to discuss insurance benefits with you to help you know what specific questions to ask.

Couples therapy is most often not appropriate to bill to insurance because of the "medical necessity criteria" that insurance companies use to determine which services are covered and which are not. Claims for services that are recognized as legitimate treatments for one person's identified mental or physical health diagnosis are usually accepted by insurance companies. Because couples therapy is usually designed to strengthen the bond between two people (treat the relationship) it does not typically meet the medical necessity criteria and cannot be billed to insurance. If you have questions about this, Dr. Mohr will be happy to discuss your specific circumstances and identify an appropriate plan.

Payment

Payment is expected at time of service unless otherwise arranged before hand. Clients are encouraged to keep a credit card on file for easy payment of all service charges.

Zelle, credit, debit, and HSA card payments are accepted for telehealth sessions. Cash and checks are also accepted for in-person services.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel a session, please do so with at least 24 hours notice. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full fee. Please note that insurance benefits will not cover cancellation charges.
