True Connections is extremely proud to announce that we will be supporting the training of advanced psychology doctoral students through our Student Clinic beginning in September, 2026. The first goal of this clinic is to provide psychologist-in-training with high-quality Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy training as a foundational part of their educational experience. The second goal is to bring more affordable EFCT to the CU community.
Meet Evelyn Hong, M.A.! Evelyn is an advanced doctoral student in the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign's Counseling Psychology program and will be practicing with True Connections from September 2026 through May, 2027.
Student therapists will offer both couples and individual relationship therapy under the supervision of Dr. Emily Mohr. The cost of services with student therapists is significantly reduced in order to make EFCT more accessible to students and other community members.
